ACH
Automated Clearing House payments (ACH) allows for those
buyers that have this service with their financial institution
and for suppliers that agree to accept these payments to take
advantage of a low cost alternate for making payments that will
settle in approximately two business days. The return policy for
ACH is limited making the funds more secure than a credit card
payment that is subject to rejection.
To use this payment method option, a customer will have to
have an existing ACH arrangement with its bank and allow for
these transactions to be processed.
Debit transactions are available for those suppliers that
request this service; however, this has the highest risk within
the ACH transaction model and it is recommended that the
customer and supplier have a long- standing and positive working
relationship before this is used.
Although there are numerous transactions that can be used
with ACH, the one defined above provides the highest level of
security.
